Revert to initial state

Hi,

Does anyone have a utility or script to revert the MSE repository to its initial state (inital default content)? I would like to clean everything before a redeploy, and right now that includes dropping the database and reinstalling MSE.

Your best bet is probably to install the MSE on another computer temporarily so you get a clean database and then detach/attach the new database over to your existing installation.

Hi again,

I fixed it a bit more smoothly than your suggestion botto, but thanks for the tip anyway. It turns out the nice people at this project already provided me with the necessary database scripts. A quick .bat filer later, and I now have a 'kill and redeploy' shortcut.

@ECHO OFF
ECHO Warning - Drop imminent
PUSHD "%~dp0"
net stop "MSE Runtime Server"
net stop "MSE Catalog Server"
pause
ECHO Dropping MSE_REPOSITORY
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Binn\SqlCmd.exe" -S dev-sql01 -d master -i DropBase.sqlscript
pause
call DeployDatabase.bat dev-sql01 MSE_REPOSITORY
net start "MSE Catalog Server"
net start "MSE Runtime Server"
POPD
